Our Approach

How We Work

Cross-Cutting Approaches

Community Engagement and Participation

  • Conduct community needs assessments to tailor interventions; using community based planning (CBP).
  • Use town hall meetings, focus groups, and participatory rural appraisals.
  • Identify and engage local champions, community health workers, women/youth leaders.

Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Building

  • Collaborate with government ministries (health, environment, youths, women affairs, etc.).
  • Partner with NGOs, CSOs, academic institutions, and private sector actors.
  • Form multi-stakeholder coalitions for joint action and policy advocacy.

Capacity Building and Training

  • Train volunteers, peer educators, and community health/environment agents.
  • Offer skill-building programs for youth and women in entrepreneurship, climate-smart agriculture, etc.

Behavior Change Communication (BCC)

  • Develop culturally appropriate messaging using radio, drama, social media, flyers, and community events.
  • Focus on shifting attitudes toward health-seeking behaviors, environmental conservation, and self-reliance.

Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)

  • Develop indicators and tools for tracking progress and impact.
  • Use community feedback mechanisms to improve programming.
